My name is Michelle Sherwin. I am a mother of six children, three girls and three boys, and a grandma of five. I currently live in Provo, Utah. I enjoy reading, traveling, exercising, yoga, beach time, playing with my grandkids, and eating chocolate, ice cream and Italian food! I love helping new moms as they labor and deliver their precious babies, and know that we moms benefit greatly by having a support team around us, whether it is our first child or our tenth! I have had opportunities to help moms in the hospital and at home births. I’m willing and able to support you whether you would like a natural birth, or if you plan on using medications, and with the many varied options that are available.
To me, birth is a beautiful, natural process. With the births of my own children, I experienced different levels of help and support. I delivered my first two babies in two different hospitals and my last four babies at home with the assistance of a midwife, which showed me the difference that good support can make. I also used hypnobirthing for my last delivery, which helped me have an even more peaceful and empowering birthing experience. I became interested in birth work when I was having my own babies. I took the DONA doula training in 2018 and became a certified birth doula with DONA International in 2020. I love supporting mothers in the beautiful and empowering experience of labor and delivery as they bring their babies into the world.
